gen Atlas Robot Head at Summer Game Fest 2026
We Took the Robot Off the Computer Screen
EFX Transformed Detailed 3D Renderings Into a Large-Scale Interactive master piece.
Engineered and fabricated the giant gen ATLAS robot head featured at Summer Game Fest 2026. Starting with detailed 3D renderings, our team developed the internal structure, dimensional exterior, integrated stage platform and custom staircase required to turn the digital game asset into a functional physical environment.
Every measurement and material choice was carefully considered to support the robot’s massive scale, complex geometry and guest access. The completed scenic structure allowed attendees to climb the stairs, enter the display and stand within a centerpiece inspired directly by the mysterious mechanical world of gen ATLAS.
Custom gen ATLAS Fabrication for Summer Game Fest 2026
The mission sounded simple: take the gen ATLAS robot head from a 3D rendering and build it full-size for Summer Game Fest 2026. Then came the structural calculations, unusual angles, dimensional panels, internal stage, custom stairs and the very important question, “How are people actually going to stand inside this thing?”
EFX-LA engineered and fabricated the giant robot head from the inside out. Every measurement, connection and material had to support the structure while maintaining the detailed mechanical appearance of the digital game asset. The stairs couldn’t just lead somewhere, the platform couldn’t just look convincing and the enormous head definitely couldn’t rely on positive thinking to remain standing.
